The Kings earned their postseason berth on March 19 and three days ago clinched home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Last night’s game at home was the club’s final 2015-16 regular season contest. The Kings finished the regular season with a 48-28-6 record with the 48 wins representing a new franchise record. The Kings also concluded the season with their 172nd consecutive regular season sellout and the 202nd consecutive sellout overall (both team records).

The Kings also on Saturday announced a series of Kings Care Foundation playoff initiatives — LAKings.com/PlayoffItForward – and the Kings have five presenting partners of the playoffs: Toyota, Mercury, McDonald’s, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Travel Alberta. Team LA will have an offering of exclusive player off gear starting on Thursday night including Hats, T-shirts and Pins.

The Kings are off tomorrow (Monday) with practice resuming on Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Toyota Sports Center. This marks the fourth playoff meeting between the two franchises. The Kings lead the all-time series 2-1.
