A controversial casino plan in Vallejo is moving forward. The Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians are continuing with their 700-million-dollar casino resort plan after getting the go-ahead from the Department of the Interior for 160 acres of land to build the resort on. The tribe plans to build an eight-story, 400-thousand-square-foot casino, two dozen homes for tribal members and other amenities on the land. A separate tribe has fought the plan, saying the land is part of its cultural heritage and disputing the Scott Valley Band of Pomo Indians ties to the site
