An arson suspect is in custody after residents in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley spotted him not far from where a wildfire just started. This woman told KTLA she was sitting on her porch in Woodland Hills when she heard a car come to a screeching halt.
She says three neighbors tackled the man and used zip ties and rope to hold him down until police arrived. According to eyewitnesses, the man had a large propane tank and was trying to start a fire behind a car. Investigators have not said if the man is suspected of starting the Kenneth Fire burning in nearby West Hills and Calabasas.
