Californians need to start watching where they park. Starting January 1st, California officials will start issuing tickets to drivers who don’t follow the state’s “daylighting” law. Under the law, you cannot park within 20 feet of any crosswalk or 15 feet of a crosswalk with extended curbs. It took effect in 2024, but drivers have only been getting warnings. Come the new year, warnings are out, and drivers will get tickets and face possible fines.
