The battle to rename Oakland International Airport continues in the courts. A federal judge has granted the city of San Francisco’s injunction against the airport calling itself “San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport.” The judge found that the new name which the airport started using months ago would cause irreparable harm to San Francisco’s own airport. Oakland Airport officials, for now, can’t use the new name in any promotions or advertisements. They’ve vowed to keep fighting to use the name.
