Donald Trump is now the President-Elect. On early Wednesday, the Republican candidate secured more than enough electoral votes to win Tuesday’s general election. Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris to become only the second President in U.S. history to be elected to non-consecutive terms. In a victory speech, Trump said America is about to enter a golden age and vowed to deliver a prosperous America.
Kamala Harris is expected to speak this morning after losing her Democratic bid to become the first woman in the Oval Office. Campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond told supporters gathered last night at her election night watch party that Harris will make remarks this morning at her alma mater, Howard University.
