A Napa Valley winery is jumping onto the A.I. bandwagon in a big way – with a robot ‘sommelier. The fifty-thousand dollar ‘RobinoVino’ has been working at Maria Concetto Winery since November.
Owner Maria Reznikova says there’s been a 30-percent increase in foot-traffic since the robot’s arrival.
She’s thinking of buying an A.I. speaking upgrade, so Robino can help out with food pairings at events.
Detractors say there’s no way a robot can replicate a human’s expertise and say it’s just a passing fad. A flight of four varietals with RobinoVino costs seventy-five dollars.
