(Undated) — If you listen to 790 KABC, you know the US power grid is at risk from a variety of adversaries, including China, Russian and Mother Nature. We have aired a program called Grid Down, Power Up that warned of the looming dangers. Now comes a report that the U-S power grid may be at risk this summer. The North American Electric Reliability Corporation report warned the vast majority of the U.S. grid may face elevated power outage risks during bad weather conditions this summer. It added there is an increased risk due to a greater reliance on renewable energy source. The report authors stressed this was not a prediction, and if weather is good, the grid should be OK. Hopefully.
