California is dealing with a carjacking crisis. The state leads the nation with the most reported stolen vehicles last year, totaling more than 202-thousand. The National Insurance Crime Bureau shows that’s almost double the amount in Texas which is second on the list. Bakersfield has the honor of the top city in not just California but the nation when it comes to stolen cars. Several cities saw big increases during the pandemic with thieves going after Chevy and Ford trucks the most followed by Honda Civics and Accords.
