(Sacramento, CA) — Two House Democrats are calling for the resignation of California Senator Dianne Feinstein. California Democratic Representative Ro Khanna said on Twitter that it was time for the 89-year old to resign, and that it was “obvious she can no longer fulfill her duties.” Minnesota Democrat Dean Philips agreed, replying that he believes it was a “dereliction of duty” for her to remain in the Senate. Feinstein has been recovering from shingles away from Washington, which has stalled confirmation of President Biden’s judicial appointments because of her seat on the Judiciary Committee.
