(Sacramento, CA) — California Governor Gavin Newsom says his state is pulling back its renewal of a 54-million-dollar contract with Walgreens because of the company’s decision to not sell abortion pills in 20 other states. Walgreens is still selling abortion pills in California, but has stopped selling them in parts of the country where the state attorneys general say it is against local laws. Newsom says California is pulling back the contract to provide prescription drugs to prison inmates in the state.
