(Sacramento, CA) — California’s attorney general is apologizing to gun owners about their information being leaked. Rob Bonta calls it unacceptable and “a breach of trust.” An investigation found the state’s Department of Justice mistakenly posted the names, addresses and birthdays of nearly 200-thousand people earlier this year who applied for a concealed carry weapons permit. Bonta says the DOJ must be held to the highest standard and promised all recommendations in the report would be implemented.
