(Athens, GA) — An Athens, Georgia, venue is canceling a concert that was supposed to feature the man who tried to kill former President Ronald Reagan. Less than 24 hours after releasing the details, The World Famous downtown bar posted on social media saying John Hinckley Junior’s show will no longer take place. Hinckley says this is the fifth venue to cancel on his “Redemption Tour.” The bar told the Banner-Herald the decision came after they discussed the potential risks involved. Hinckley was released back in June after being institutionalized for 42 years following the assassination attempt.
