Two Suspects in 7-Eleven deadly shootings arrested.

Police say the two suspects arrested for a string of deadly shootings at multiple 7-Eleven stores are from L-A. The suspects are 20-year-old Malik Patt and 44-year-old Jason Payne. They were arrested Friday. One suspect was wounded while being captured. Two people were killed and three others were hurt after the spree of pre-dawn robberies on Monday. The crimes spanned several counties. The Los Angeles Police Department now thinks the suspects are connected to multiple additional crimes in L-A County.

2:15pm Suspect Now In Custody After Several Killed in Robberies

(Los Angeles, CA) — Police in Southern California have a suspect in custody accused of a string of deadly robbery shootings at multiple 7-Eleven stores this week. The man reportedly robbed six 7-Eleven stores in Orange and Riverside Counties. A clerk was killed at a store in Brea, and a customer was killed outside a store in Santa Ana. The Los Angeles Police Department believes the same man might have also robbed two convenience stores and two doughnut shops in the San Fernando Valley on Saturday. Those stores were robbed at gunpoint as well.

Injured 7-Eleven Victim Speaks Out

(Los Angeles, CA) — A man is speaking out after being shot in the face during the string of 7-Eleven robberies in the greater Los Angeles area. Russell Browning was shot in the mouth while sitting in his car at a 7-Eleven store in La Habra on Monday. Browning was discharged from the hospital on Thursday. He told ABC 7 Eyewitness News that he felt lucky to be alive, knowing two people were fatally shot by the suspect. Police believe the suspect robbed six 7-Eleven stores in Orange and Riverside Counties, and perhaps more. This has lead to 7-Eleven corporate offices to advise that area stores should close in overnight hours.
