(Los Angeles, CA) — The streak of decreasing gas prices for Los Angeles County is ending after eight days. The average price per gallon of self-serve regular gasoline leveled off yesterday at four dollars and 69-cents. The average price dropped two-point-six cents during the week according to figures from the Triple A and Oil Price Information Service. The streak of lower prices followed 16 days of increases in 18 days that boosted the average price per gallon to nearly four dollars and 72-cents on November 27th. Lower prices at the pump are the result of a significant decrease in the price of crude oil, which accounts for slightly more than half of the pump price.
