(New York, NY) — Fears about a new COVID variant triggered a Black Friday sell-off on Wall Street. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged over a thousand points earlier in the session for its worst drop of 2021. Travel-related stocks were the hardest hit with the major airlines down about ten percent or more. The Dow fell 905 points to 34-899. The S&P 500 lost 106 points to 45-94 and the Nasdaq dropped 353 points to 15-491. Markets closed early following the Thanksgiving holiday.
