(Washington, DC) — The number of available jobs is holding steady even as a record number of Americans quit work in September. The Labor Department’s JOLTS report shows four-point-four million people quit their jobs with arts, entertainment and the recreation industry leading the way. Job openings increased in health care along with state and local government. Figures show ten-point-four million job openings overall as of the end of September.
