(Sacramento, CA) — Some labor groups are using worker shortages as leverage to improve pay and working conditions. Strike threats from Hollywood unions, to health care, to education are a reality as workers are demanding a change to the status quo. Some companies like Kaiser Permanente have offered bonuses of around 36-hundred a year. Still, some labor experts note that any leverage workers have will likely be temporary as the economy returns to pre-pandemic conditions.
