(San Rafael, CA) — Marin County Public Health officials are gearing up for the distribution of COVID vaccinations for kids, ages five-to-11. The CDC and FDA have signed-off on Pfizer’s kid-sized dose. Today, the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup also gave its approval, saying the vaccine is safe and effective. California Governor Gavin Newsom says they will move swiftly to implement the vaccine roll-out. Public health officials say the federal and regional approval will immediately expand eligibility for 28-million children across the country.
