CA Breast Feeding May Protect Against COVID
(Sacramento, CA) — New research suggests mothers who have been vaccinated can pass-on COVID-19 antibodies to their children through breast milk. Dr. Dean Blumberg is Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UC Davis Children’s Hospital.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, researchers found COVID-19 antibody concentrations are "significantly higher" in mothers breast feeding at 24 months or longer. Dr Anthony Fauci has previous said the antibodies found in breast milk neutralize the virus.
