Alec Baldwin Tweets Following Deadly Shooting In NM
(Santa Fe, NM) — Actor Alec Baldwin is expressing his “shock and sadness” following a deadly shooting on the set of his film in New Mexico. The director of photography was killed and the movie director was injured after Baldwin discharged prop firearm. He tweeted that he’s cooperating with the police investigation. Baldwin also noted he’s in touch with the husband of deceased cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and described her as a “deeply admired colleague.” Director Joel Souza has since been released from the hospital.
(Santa Fe, NM) — The director injured in an on-set shooting involving Alec Baldwin is out of the hospital. Joel Souza was injured yesterday when the actor fired a prop gun. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died as a result of what happened near Santa Fe, New Mexico. Baldwin is producing and starring in the film titled Rust. Baldwin was released after authorities questioned him and no charges have been filed. Meantime, production of the film has been shut down.
