(Los Angeles, CA) — In a historic move, the union representing tens of thousands of Hollywood workers is voting to approve strike authorization. Members of the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees overwhelmingly voted to authorize the strike with 98-percent support, and 90-percent voter turnout. This gives the union president power to shut down film and TV production across the country. A nationwide strike would be the first in IATSE’s [[eye-OTT-see]] 128-year history.
