Over $ 1 Billion To Be Paid For 2015 Porter Ranch Natural Gas Leak

(Los Angeles, CA) — A settlement of one-point-eight billion dollars is reportedly being paid to thousands of Los Angeles County residents impacted by a massive gas leak. The 2015 natural gas leak at the Aliso Canyon storage facility in Porter Ranch sickened people across a big chunk of the San Fernando Valley. Almost 100-thousand tons of methane and other gases were released over 118 days. The settlement is with Sempra Energy, the parent company of Southern California Gas.
