(Undated) — Some 40 percent of Americans say they use the self-checkout at the grocery store to keep from being judged by a cashier. The survey, conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Kroger, found the same number have left a checkout line to find an item they saw in another shopper’s cart. The poll also tracked other critical data, like the fact that shoppers who explore every aisle are more likely to be fans of horror movies.
