(Undated) — A new poll says more than 60-percent of American parents want their children to learn about the ongoing effects of slavery and racism as part of K-12 education. But the USA Today/Ipsos poll found fewer parents support teaching critical race theory. The theory’s purported main premise is that racism still is driving factor in society, and many consider the theory itself racist. About one in four parents support government restrictions on teaching about critical race theory.
