Scientists Calling U.S. Push For COVID Boosters “Premature”

(Washington, DC) — Some scientists are calling out the Biden administration for what they are calling a rush to distribute COVID-19 vaccine booster shots. The CDC cited three studies showing vaccine protection against the virus dropped over time and as the Delta variant has swept the country. Dr. Anna Durbin with Johns Hopkins University told CNBC while more people are seeing mild cases, the vaccines are still doing the job to prevent severe infections and death. Booster shots will start being rolled out to Americans the week of September 20th.
