Biden Admin To Forgive Student Loans For Totally And Permanently Disabled
(Washington, DC) — The Biden Administration is forgiving about six-billion dollars in student loans from those who are totally and permanently disabled. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said it’s part of a program to target people in forgiving loans. The decision impacts about 323-thousand individuals who owe five-point-eight billion dollars. So far, the Biden Administration has forgiven about eight-point-seven billion in student loans. There’s about one-point-seven trillion dollars in outstanding federally-backed student loans.
