GOP Senators Request Meeting With Biden Over COVID Relief In Hopes Of Finally Getting Money In Your Hands

(Washington, DC) — A group of Republican senators is reaching out to President Biden in hopes of coming to a bipartisan agreement on coronavirus spending. The group of ten is led by Maine’s Susan Collins, who sent a letter to Biden asking for a meeting to discuss the proposal in greater detail. The measure would provide about 600-billion-dollars in COVID-related funding, including 160-billion for vaccine distribution, as well as COVID testing and protective equipment. It would also provide much needed economic relief for Americans hit hardest by the fallout from the pandemic. The Republican plan is less than the nearly two-trillion-dollar plan put forth by Democrats.
