Cuomo Says NYC Indoor Dining Can Open At 25-Percent Capacity On Valentine’s Day
(New York, NY) — Governor Andrew Cuomo says indoor dining can resume in New York City on Valentine’s Day, at 25-percent capacity. He indicates the decision is based on declining case numbers and hospitalizations, adding any region that uses over 85-percent of its hospital capacity faces a return to lockdowns. Cuomo is also allowing wedding receptions to resume on March 15th, provided they don’t exceed 150 people, and if all guests get tested for coronavirus. The 25-percent capacity that will be permitted for New York City’s indoor dining is lower than the 50-percent allowed elsewhere in the state.
