Paul: Dems Don’t Have The Votes To Impeach

(Washington, DC) — Kentucky Senator Rand Paul’s motion to dismiss the impeachment against former President Donald Trump failed, but he’s not being deterred. Paul feels confident Democrats don’t have enough votes to convict Trump following this month’s Capitol riot. Paul claimed it’s unconstitutional to hold a trial for a President who is no longer in office. Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, and Mitt Romney of Utah were the only Republicans to vote against dismissing the trial.
