(Sacramento, CA) — California public schools are seeing a record enrollment drop amid the pandemic. K through 12 public schools have projected a drop of 155-thousand students. The state has been seeing a steady drop in enrollment anyway because of declining birth rates, but the number is about five times greater than previously predicted. It\’s unclear at this point which grade levels, student groups or school districts have been the most affected. However, there\’s evidence showing parents have opted for private schools or homeschooling instead.
