(Washington, DC) — President Biden is signing his first executive orders on Inauguration Day. Speaking in the Oval Office, Biden said “there’s no time to start like today.” Biden said he’s going to start the first day in office by keeping the promises he made the American people. One executive order will require face masks to be worn on all federal property and for interstate travel. Another focused on advancing racial equity and supporting underserved communities. In the third executive order, Biden rejoined the Paris climate agreement as of Wednesday

Additionally, Biden addressed the letter outgoing President Trump left for him in the transition of power. Biden said Trump wrote a “very generous letter,” but would not disclose the contents of the letter until he spoke to him personally.
