A man is dead after being stuck by a FedEx delivery truck in Winnetka Wednesday morning. Investigators believe the driver of a pickup make an illegal U-turn and was hit by the FedEx truck. Heath McElwee with the Los Angeles Police Department tells KTLA-5 even slower-speed accidents can cause devastating damage.
”You’re talking about a car that’s just making a turn in front of a moving object that has, you know, thousands of pounds of weight.”
Police examined the delivery truck’s dash camera and it appears that vehicle was going the speed limit. The FedEx driver was not injured.
