Speaking in city hall, driver Constantine Anthony insists 30-bucks an hour is only fair.

”How is it that Uber and Lyft drivers can labor well beyond a 40-hour work week, still take home less than minimum wage and Uber and Lyft CEOs are making billions off of our backs?”

Drivers say they need to pay for operating expenses that Uber and Lyft don’t cover. Rideshare drivers are set to have more protections next year. That’s when a state law goes into effect that givers independent contractors more rights. However, some rideshare companies are promising to fight the new law. Uber and Lyft insist they pay their drivers fairly.
