The detective with the LA Sheriff’s Department cut a plea deal that allowed him to avoid a longer prison sentence. 46-year-old Neil Kimball of Agoura met the teen victim in 2017 because he was assigned to her case. Investigators say the sex crimes detective then sexually assaulted the girl who was already an apparent sex crimes victim. Kimball was origianally charged with forcibly raping the girl. But the deal allowed him to plead to a lesser charge.
