Fitness expert offers advice on how to cope with holiday temptations

The holidays can be an excuse to let go of your fitness routine and forget about watching your diet.

Los Angeles Laker’s strength and endurance coach Gunnar Peterson, says you can indulge during the holidays, but it’s best to avoid letting all your strategies for fitness fly out the window at once.

”If you’re going to skip your workouts, watch your food, if you’re going to drink, don’t miss your workouts, if you’re going to under-sleep, make sure your food’s on point.”

If you’re planning on trying to drop some pounds in the New Year, he says it’s better to modify your carbs intake instead of trying to cut them out altogether.

”Think about a way where the carbohydrates fit into your life; when is the better time to eat them for your body type, your blood type, your metabolic type?”
