It’s business as usual here at the San Ysidro Port of Entry but both Americans and Mexicans are worried that the border could be closed again. One Mexican citizen, crossing the border legally for work, was affected by the migrants trying to break through. and said, “I wanted to cross yesterday but no – there was a lot of mess here.”
The chaos comes as U.S. and Mexican officials try to wrangle a deal and discuss how to work with asylum-seeking migrants waiting in Mexico.
