Oakland mayoral candidate Loren Taylor has picked up an important endorsement. San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan campaigned with Taylor Thursday, canvassing streets for the mayoral hopeful. Mahan says he believes Taylor is the right candidate who will have the right idea on how to handle the budget situation in Oakland and make the right choices.
Taylor’s main opposition, former Congresswoman Barbara Lee, picked up a series of endorsements from Oakland business, labor and community leaders this week.
