The Pasadena Unified School District is suing SoCal Edison due to the Eaton Fire. The district wants the utility company to pay for damage caused to its campuses during the fire in January. Six schools in Pasadena were either damaged or destroyed by the fire. The lawsuit claims the wildfire started near a SoCal Edison transmission tower in Eaton Canyon, putting the blame on SCE. A lawsuit filed on March 5th on behalf of Los Angeles County, the city of Pasadena and the city of Sierra Madre makes the same claim.
