Red Flag Warning, PDS, Issued for Large Area of Southern California

More damaging, powerful Santa Ana winds are heading for Southern California. A Red Flag Warning takes effect at ten o’clock this morning and will be in place through ten o’clock Tuesday night. It will impact parts of Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Additionally, a particularly dangerous situation Red Flag Warning is in place from noon today to ten o’clock tomorrow morning. It will impact Ventura County, along with the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys.

The coasts and valleys should see wind gusts of 50 to 70-miles-per-hour, while the mountains and foothills are expected to see gusts of 60 to 100-miles-per-hour. Relative humidity is likely to fall to be between five and 15 percent.
