Residents in Oakland Hills are collecting signatures on a petition to urge the city to reopen closed fire stations due to rising concerns after recent Southern California wildfires.   Jacqueline Brown recalls the tragic 1991 Oakland Hills fire that destroyed her neighborhood and took the lives of her neighbors.

The city closed two stations on Monday to balance the budget.  The Oakland Firefighters Union warns that the closures endanger lives, emphasizing that fire risk is a year-round issue.
