Los Angeles County resources are being spread thin, battling multiple major wildfires simultaneously.

L.A. County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone puts the region’s preparedness into perspective. Marrone says local crews can handle two fires but not four.  He said without the help of fire teams from across the state and out of state, it would be impossible to fight the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, and Woodley fires at the same time.

During a morning news conference, officials indicated that water supplies from fire hydrants in the Pacific Palisades are running dry.  But they added that firetrucks have equipment to draw water out of swimming pools, ponds, and other areas where water can be accessed.
