A fire is now burning in the Hollywood Hills. It’s rapidly moving uphill as it burns near Runyon Canyon. That’s a highly populated area just above the famous core of downtown Hollywood. The fire is quickly putting structures in danger. Los Angeles Fire crews are on the scene now, with a bright glow of orange flame seen from all over Hollywood.
“A Mandatory Evacuation Order is now in place for Laurel Canyon Blvd (on the west) to Mulholland Dr (on the north) to 101 Freeway (on the east) down to Hollywood Blvd (on the south),” LAFD said.
While battling the Palisades Fire, crews struggled with poor water pressure and, in some cases, no water coming from fire hydrants that “went dry” due to high demand on the city’s water infrastructure. It is unclear if firefighters are still dealing with the issue.
