Mandatory evacuations are now underway in one part of Los Angeles as residents flee the Palisades Fire. Drivers can be seen abandoning their cars as the fire grows to over 200 acres in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood. Those winding mountain roads are jammed with cars. At least one vehicle is on fire and many others are unable to move. So far, there are no reports of injuries. Firefighters say many homes are “under immediate threat.” There are 40-mile-per-hour winds and dry, warm conditions.
