The suspect in the United Healthcare CEO murder is fighting his extradition from Pennsylvania to New York. Luigi Mangione appeared in a Pennsylvania courtroom Tuesday where he challenged his extradition. He was ordered to remain held without bail.
Police say fingerprints found at the scene where UnitedHealthcare’s CEO was shot to death on a New York City street last week match the suspect’s. That’s according to multiple reports. This is the first forensic match that investigators say tie suspect Luigi Mangione to the scene where Brian Thompson was killed. Mangione remains in custody in Pennsylvania.
Mangione’s accused of fatally shooting United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a Manhattan street last week. He was taken into custody at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania Monday after he was recognized by an employee.
