California lawmakers began a special session at the request of Governor Gavin Newsom, who says he wants to “Trump-Proof” his state. Newsom is asking the legislature for 25 million dollars to fund possible litigation if the Trump Administration enacts rules that impact California’s policies. The first day of the session is expected to primarily be spent welcoming newly elected legislators.
