Dodgers’ slugger Shohei Ohtani is seeking 325-thousand-dollars’ worth of baseball cards from his ex-interpreter. Ohtani says Ippei Mizuhara fraudulently bought the cards using his money, which the former interpreter illegally gained access to in November of 2021.
Ohtani says the collectible baseball cards, which depict him and are signed by him, are in Mizuhara’s “unauthorized and wrongful possession.” Earlier this year, Mizuhara pleaded guilty to bank and tax fraud charges, admitting to stealing almost 17-million-dollars from Ohtani.
