L.A. City Council to Consider Appointment of Jim McDonnell as Police Chief

Today, the Los Angeles City Council will consider the appointment of Jim McDonnell as police chief. McDonnell, a former Los Angeles County sheriff, would become the 59th chief in the history of the LAPD. Mayor Karen Bass nominated McDonnell last month.
