It’s not clear how president-elect Donald Trump’s win will impact his sentencing in his New York City hush money case. Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan has a few days to decide if Trump will face any consequences for hiding hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels.
Trump says the U.S. Supreme Court has given the president sweeping immunity from criminal prosecution, claiming the verdict should be nullified since the Manhattan District Attorney could not present evidence from his time in office.
Trump’s lawyers have already managed to push back the sentencing twice, and Merchan has until Tuesday to decide if the November 26th sentencing will still happen.
