Power has been restored to homes on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, where land movement has slowed. 28 out of 250 homes have electricity again while Southern California Edison says more will get turned back on soon. Meantime, Southern California Gas Company does not have plans to reinstate gas service to homes that are cut off. The land that had been sliding by nearly a foot each week has slowed to an inch-and-a-half. Mitigation efforts continue near Portuguese Bend to further stabilize the coastal hillside.
